Trauma is not what happens to you.

Trauma is what happens inside you as a result of what happened to you.

                                                                              ~ Dr. Gabor Maté

Trauma affects many of us in insidious ways. It leaves us confused, overwhelmed or numb. We find it difficult to concentrate, and we struggle with intense feelings of sadness, fear or shame. We feel disconnected from others and ourselves.  We fear judgement and rejection from others. We have difficulties trusting.

The past affects the present and as such, the future. By challenging and reframing the negative beliefs we hold about ourselves, we can rewrite the story of our past and move toward healing.

Having a personal experience with the landscape of trauma, I am deeply passionate in helping others navigate through their own experiences of adversity.  I intimately understand the courage it takes to confront the wounds of the past, and the transformative power of self-discovery and inner growth.

I believe that healing is possible, and that every individual has the inherent capacity to thrive, even in the face of adversity. Each individual is the expert of their own existence. As a trauma recovery coach I partner with my client in exploring ways to (re)establishing a sense of safety and trust, moving away from feeling stuck and embracing a life of choice, courage and confidence.
